ViNN:Lab at the HIT Day

At the last HIT (Open University Day) of the TH Wildau we at the lab had the opportunity to interact with a lot of visitors and inform them about our daily business as well as current projects.

Throughout the whole day small and big visitors created „Brush-Bots and Maky Maky curcuits“ in different workshops.

We hope we where able to give a variety of people a better insight into the nature of the ViNN:Lab as well as teach them a little bit about the maker movement.

See you soon at the Lab!

ViNN:Lab at FabLab Festival Toulouse.

Last weekend a small team from the ViNN:Lab went to the FabLab Festival near Toulouse. A variety of exhibitors from all over the world like South Africa and Europe displayed newest inventions and ideas such as DIY-3D printers, drone technology and even a music lab concept.

At our both kids had the opportunity to participate in interesting experiments involving conductivity of different materials.
While tinkering on their own „Upcycle-Keychain“ with integrated LED, the kids learned something about the concept „From old to new“ as well as build their own fully functional electronic circuit.

All participants where super happy with their projects and had a great time.

Internship at the Lab.

Right now our school intern Jesse deals with one of his many projects throughout his internship at the lab.

To get a closer insight into the world of 3D-Scanning as well as -printing and to learn more about the usage of this technology, Jesse scans as well as prints a pair of shoes all by himself.

He totally relies on the „learning by doing“ concept we preach at the lab!

We are very looking forward to the first pair of 3D printed shoes – made by Jesse :)
