Who we are
The ViNN:Lab is a prototyping- and creative lab at the TH-Wildau. We love to help people create (almost) anything.
As a part of the FAB LAB Community we strive to provide you with the right technology and training to skyrocket your idea.
How can you imagine the ViNN:Lab?
Watch our short introduction Video below and find out.
Last weekend a small team from the ViNN:Lab went to the FabLab Festival near Toulouse. A variety of exhibitors from all over the world like South Africa and Europe displayed newest inventions and ideas such as DIY-3D printers, drone technology and even a music lab concept.
At our both kids had the opportunity to participate in interesting experiments involving conductivity of different materials.
While tinkering on their own „Upcycle-Keychain“ with integrated LED, the kids learned something about the concept „From old to new“ as well as build their own fully functional electronic circuit.
All participants where super happy with their projects and had a great time.
Right now our school intern Jesse deals with one of his many projects throughout his internship at the lab.
To get a closer insight into the world of 3D-Scanning as well as -printing and to learn more about the usage of this technology, Jesse scans as well as prints a pair of shoes all by himself.
He totally relies on the „learning by doing“ concept we preach at the lab!
We are very looking forward to the first pair of 3D printed shoes – made by Jesse :)
Future Day at the ViNN:Lab.
Last week 26 high school students had the opportunity to breath some college air during our future day at the university.
At our „prototyping challenge“ different teams created balloon-powered lego cars which had an awesome race on our lab own racetrack.
Throughout different stages the cars where optimised over and over again until they achieved record times.
Thanks a lot everybody, we had a great day!
