Der 3D-Druck-Stift-Hersteller 3Dsimo verkündet den Launch seines neuesten Angebots: das Open Source 3Dsimo Kit. Hierbei handelt es sich um den weltweit ersten Multimaterial-Bausatz für einen 3D-Druck-Stift, welcher durch nur zwei Schrauben sehr benutzerfreundlich gestaltet ist.
Die benötigen Entwürfe für den Bau dieses 3D-Druckstifts sind entweder auf der 3Dsimo Webseite oder auf der Plattform GitHub verfügbar. Das Unternehmen kündigte überdies wöchentliche Upgrades für Software und Hardware an, welche ebenso Open Source zugänglich gemacht werden sollen.
Der Bausatz wurde sehr benutzerfreundlich und einfach gestaltet, was sich schon bei der Anleitung zeigt. Der gesamte Aufbau enthält lediglich zwei Schrauben, während der Rest durch einrasten oder Plug-ins zusammengefügt wird. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt des 3Dsimo Kit ist die geringe Montage-Zeit von nur 15 bis 20 Minuten.
Verfügbar ist dieses Kit momentan für PLA oder ABS Filamente. Durch die benutzerfreundliche Gestaltung des Multi-Material-Bausatzes ist dieses schon für Kinder ab acht Jahres verfügbar. Vor allem die Düse wurde kinderfreundlich konzipiert, da diese eine relativ niedrige Temperatur von 55°C hält.
